About this weekend workshop
In this workshop you will be guided to observe the live model simply - finding the simple essential thread of the gesture, and constructing the basic component parts along this inner movement. You will also explore different methods and mediums to help consolidate your approach to drawing. The focus will be on "seeing" more so than that of achieving an academic drawing. The old masters could see simply and knew that this is the only way to convincingly arrive at the full complexity of the human figure.
A variety of poses will be drawn, with shorter and longer poses facilitating different elements of the learning. There will also be specific demonstrations and studies of hands, feet, and heads at intervals on both days of the workshop.
The workshop is suitable for beginners to intermediate.
